Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Here are answers to some common questions about NextMove.

What is NextMove?

NextMove is an online tool that analyzes your chess games to identify recurring mistakes, blunders, opening weaknesses, and the clearest next training target.

Do I need to create an account?

No account is required to run a basic analysis. An account is only needed if you want saved reports, saved drill packs, or subscription features.

Which platforms are supported?

NextMove currently supports Chess.com and Lichess game analysis.

How is my data used?

Your username and game data are used to generate your chess analysis. Aggregated anonymous data may be used to improve the product. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Is the analysis real-time?

Analysis starts after your recent games are fetched from the selected platform. Recently finished games can sometimes take a little time to appear in third-party APIs.

Is NextMove free?

Yes. NextMove has a free tier, while premium unlocks deeper reports, richer drill packs, progress tracking, and PDF export.

Can I delete my analysis data?

Yes. Contact support and request deletion of your stored analysis data.

How accurate is the analysis?

NextMove uses Stockfish to evaluate moves and then organizes the findings into repeated patterns and training themes. It is designed to guide study decisions, not guarantee rating gain.

Who can I contact for support?
